Interrogative Pronouns and Interrogative Adjectives

Read the following sentences :

In the above sentences, what and who are Interrogative Pronouns.

Remember-1 :

The pronouns that are used to ask questions are known as Interrogative Pronouns. These words are used as the subjects in the sentences. The words – who, what, whom, whose and which are Interrogative Pronouns.

Now read the following sentences :

1. Which dress did you buy yesterday?
कल तुमने कौन सी पोशाक खरीदी?

2. What colour do you like most?
तुम्हें कौन सा रंग सबसे अधिक पसंद है?
In the above sentences, which and what are Interrogative Adjectives.

Remember-2 :

Interrogative Adjectives are placed before the nouns that they describe.

Sounds Of Animals (जानवरों की आवाजें)

जैसा कि हम सब जानते हैं कि हिंदी भाषा में अलग-अलग जानवरों की आवाजों के लिए अलग-अलग शब्दों का प्रयोग किया जाता है. जैसे : गधे रेंकते हैं, हाथी चिंघाड़ते हैं आदि. उसी प्रकार अंग्रेजी में भी अलग-अलग जानवरों की आवाजों के लिए अलग-अलग शब्दों का प्रयोग किया जाता है. यदि आप अंग्रेजी में किसी से बोलेंगे कि birds are speaking तो सामने वाला तुरंत जान जाएगा कि आप अनाड़ी हैं और आप को अनाड़ी बिलकुल नहीं बनना है. आपको कहना चाहिए, birds are chirping. इसलिए अलग-अलग जानवरों की आवाजों के लिए कौन सी verbs (क्रियाएँ) का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है, इसका अभ्यास कीजिये और सही जानवर के लिए सही शब्द का प्रयोग कीजिये.
