Chapter-5 (Use of These & Those)

अंग्रेजी भाषा में These का अर्थ होता है – ये. इसी प्रकार Those का अर्थ होता है – वे. स्पष्ट है कि इन दोनों शब्दों का प्रयोग बहुवचन कर्ता के रूप में होता है.

ये दोनों ही Demonstrative Pronouns (संकेतवाचक सर्वनाम)/ Demonstrative Adjectives (संकेतवाचक विशेषण) हैं.

इन दोनों के साथ बहुवचन संज्ञा (plural noun) तथा बहुवचन क्रिया (plural verb) का प्रयोग होता है.

सकारात्मक वाक्य (Affirmative Sentences)

ये सड़े अंडे हैं.	These are rotten eggs.
वे मुर्गियां हैं.	Those are hens.
ये डिब्बे हैं.	These are boxes.
वे परदे हैं.	Those are curtains.
ये लड़के खिलाड़ी हैं.	These boys are players.
वे ऊनी कपड़े हैं.	Those are woollen clothes.
ये सैनिक हैं.	These are soldiers.
वे पुरानी पुस्तकें हैं.	Those are old books.
ये पत्थर हैं.	These are stones.
वे अभिनेता हैं.	Those are actors.

 नकारात्मक वाक्य (Negative Sentences)

ये आम नहीं हैं.	These are not mangoes.
वे चट्टानें सख्त नहीं हैं.	Those rocks are not hard.
ये पानी की बूँदें नहीं हैं.	These are not water drops.
वे गुलाम नहीं हैं.	Those are not slaves.
ये आभूषण नहीं हैं.	These are not ornaments.
वे बर्तन नहीं हैं.	Those are not utensils.
ये बच्चे शरारती नहीं हैं.	These children are not naughty.
वे नेता नहीं हैं.	Those are not leaders.
ये स्वेटर बिक्री के लिए नहीं हैं.	These sweaters are not for sale.
वे ईंटें मज़बूत नहीं हैं.	Those bricks are not strong.

 प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य (Interrogative Sentences)

क्या ये जहरीले साँप हैं?	Are these poisonous snakes?
क्या वे नौकर हैं?	Are those servants?
क्या ये अखबार हैं?	Are these newspapers?
क्या वे गायक हैं?	Are those singers?
क्या ये कैदी हैं?	Are these prisoners?
क्या वे जंगली जानवर हैं?	Are thoese wild animals?
क्या ये मीठे बिस्कुट नहीं हैं?	Are these not sweet biscuits?
क्या वे हाथी नहीं हैं?	Are those not elephants?
क्या ये जूते नहीं हैं?	Are these not shoes?
